Removing the SIM-card tray (for computers shipped with WWAN support)

NOTE:The information in this removal section is only applicable to computers that are shipped with WWAN support.

Prerequisites

Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.

CAUTION:Removing the SIM card when the computer is turned on can cause data loss or damage to the card. Ensure that your computer is turned off or the network connections are disabled.

The following images indicate the location of the SIM-card tray and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.

Steps

Insert a pin into the release hole to release the SIM-card tray.
Push the pin to disengage the lock, and eject the SIM-card tray.
Slide the SIM-card tray out of the slot on the computer.
