194716 Server Administrator SELinux For systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux with SELinux on enforcing mode, while installing Server Administrator SELinux Policy, the following error message is displayed. Failed to resolve typeattributeset statement at /var/lib/selinux/targeted/tmp/modules/400/omsa_connsvc/cil:78 semodule: Failed! . This issue is observed only when the ipa-selinux package is not installed. This error message can be ignored, and it does not affect any functionality of OMSA.
234968 Server Administrator Web Server (DWS) On systems running the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.8 operating system, the connection between the Server Administrator Web Server (DWS) and supported Server Administrator Managed Node is unsuccessful. The following message is displayed: Login failed connection timeout. To connect a Server Administrator Web Server (DWS) and supported Server Administrator managed node on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.8 operating system, do the following:
  1. In the SFCB configuration file (/etc/sfcb/sfcb.cfg), set the SLP value to false. For example, enableSlp: false.
  2. Restart the sblim-sfcb service.
243641 Server Administrator Web Server (DWS) On systems running the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.x operating system, the connection between the Server Administrator Web Server (DWS) and VMware ESXi 7.0 U3 Managed Node operating system is unsuccessful. The following message is displayed: Login failed connection timeout. However, the VMware ESXi 7.0 U3 Managed Node operating system connects to the Server Administrator from other supported Server Administrator Web Server (DWS). Not available
250248 Installation of Server Administrator On certain Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.0 operating system, the Server Administrator installation is unsuccessful, and the following error message is displayed in the CLI: error: Failed dependencies: /sbin/chkconfig is needed by srvadmin-omilcore-11.0.0.0-5246.el9.x86_64. Installation of the chkconfig package is unsuccessful, and the following message is displayed: Failed: chkconfig-1.20-2.el9.x86_64. To install the Server Administrator, do the following:
  1. Back up the /etc/init.d folder by running the following command at the CLI: sudo mv /etc/init.d/ /home/<username>/initd_backup.
  2. Install the chkconfig package by running the following command: sudo yum install chkconfig.
  3. Install Server Administrator.
  4. Copy the backup init.d folder to the /etc/init.d/ folder by running the following command: sudo cp /home/<username>/initd_backup /etc/init.d/.
264909 Data Manager service On Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems, the Data Manager service is unresponsive when you run the ipcrm –a command.
NOTE:The ipcrm –a command removes Inter-Process Communication (IPC) resources from the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems. It is recommended not to use the ipcrm-a command when Server Administrator is running.
Restart the Data Manager service.
