Removing the wireless card

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the base cover.

Steps

  1. Remove the two screws (M2x3) that secure the wireless-card thermal shield to the wireless card and palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
  2. Slide and lift the wireless-card thermal shield.
  3. Disconnect the antenna cables from the wireless card.
  4. Slide and lift the wireless card from the wireless-card slot (WLAN1).
