Removing the cover

  1. Follow the procedure in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
  2. To remove the cover:
    1. Loosen the captive screw that secures the cover to the computer [1].
    2. Slide the cover to release it from the computer [2].
      NOTE:You may need a plastic scribe to release the cover from the edges.
    3. Lift and remove the cover from the computer [3].
