Removing the speaker

  1. Follow the procedure in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. cover
    2. system fan
  3. To remove the speaker:
    1. Release the speaker cable from the retention hooks on the system fan [1].
    2. Remove the screws that secure the speaker to the system fan [2].
    3. Remove the speaker from the system fan [3].
