Removing the system fan

  1. Follow the procedure in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
  2. Remove the cover.
  3. To remove the system fan:
    1. Press the blue tabs on both sides of the system fan [1].
    2. Push the system fan to release it from the computer [2].
    3. Turn the system fan over to remove it from the computer [3].

  4. Disconnect the speaker cable and system fan cable from the connectors on the system board.
