Dell ThinOS 10.x 2502, 2505, 2508, and 2511 Release Notes

Limitations

The following limitations are noted in ThinOS 10.x 2511:

• LPD printers must be configured only through WMS for VDI sessions.
• Shortcut keys F6 and F7 for brightness adjustment do not work on OptiPlex 7420 Client (35W).
• Intel i7 platforms are supported with certain limitations.
• Intel i9 platforms are supported with certain limitations.
• Latitude 5550 with Intel Core Ultra 5 is not supported on ThinOS 10.x.
• Dell Pro 16 Plus PB16250 platform does not support brightness adjustment using the built-in keypad.
• Multiple Bluetooth headsets are not supported simultaneously.
• If the device is in Sleep Mode and the user connects external USB device, the device does not wakeup. Press any key on the keyboard or move the mouse to wake the system.
• The following browser limitations have been observed in ThinOS 10.x 2511:

• VNC viewer does not work with Wi-Fi.
• Firmware upgrade support for the docks and monitors is limited to the following Dell peripherals only:
  • Dell Dock WD19
  • Dell Dock WD19TB
  • Dell Dock WD22
  • Dell Dock SD25
• Notification popups are not supported for card readers and docking stations.
• Imprivata PIE mode on CV3+ devices does not detect palm rest fingerprint reader, contactless smartcard reader, or contact smartcard reader.
• Contactless smartcard readers are not supported on CV3 platforms.
• AMD platforms are not supported on Dell Pro models.
• When using Azure apps in Azure Virtual Desktop, each application now opens in its own dedicated session.
