Upgrade peripheral firmware

Prerequisites

  • Ensure that ThinOS 10.x 2505 or later is running on the thin client.
  • Ensure that the peripheral is connected to the thin client.
  • Ensure that a group with a valid group token is created in Wyse Management Suite 5.1 or later.
  • Ensure that the thin client is registered to Wyse Management Suite.

About this task

Steps

  1. Go to the Groups & Configs page, and select a group.
  2. On Edit Policies drop-down menu, click ThinOS 10.x.
    The Configuration Control | ThinOS window is displayed.
  3. Click Advanced.
  4. In the Firmware field, select Peripherals Firmware Updates.
  5. Click Browse to browse and upload the peripheral firmware package.
    The EULA and vendors details are displayed.
  6. Verify the vendor names and license agreement and then click Accept to upload the package.
    You can select the Do not show this again if you do not want to see the EULA details of the same vendor again.
  7. Expand the category of the peripheral and select it.
  8. Ensure that the switch option of the category is INSTALL.
  9. Click Save & Publish.
    The thin client downloads the peripheral firmware package and installs it.
