Removing the heat sink

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the side cover.
  3. Remove the fan assembly.

Steps

  1. Loosen the three captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system.
    NOTE:Loosen the screw in the sequential order (1,2,3) as printed on the heat sink.
  2. Lift the heat-sink away from the system board.
