Installing the palm-rest assembly

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

Steps

Place the palm-rest assembly on a clean and flat surface.

Next steps

  1. Install the system board.
    NOTE: The system board can be installed with the heat sink attached.
  2. Install the display assembly.
  3. Install the touchpad.
  4. Install the USB Type-C bracket.
  5. Install the power button with fingerprint reader.
  6. Install the I/O-board and I/O-board cable.
  7. Install the system fan.
  8. Install the speakers.
  9. Install the M.2 2230 solid state drive.
  10. Install the wireless card.
  11. Install the battery.
  12. Install the base cover.
  13. Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.
