Installing a cooling fan
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
- Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
Steps
Align and lower the cooling fan into the cooling fan assembly until the fan
clicks into place. Figure 1. Installing a cooling
fan 
NOTE:Remove the bus bar power cable if installing fan 1 or fan 5.
NOTE:Connect the bus bar power cables to the PIB after replacing Fan1 or
Fan 5.
Next steps
- Install the bus bar power cables.
- Install the HPM sled cover.
- Install the HPM sled.
- Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system.
