Installing the cooling fan cage assembly
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions. CAUTION: Ensure that the cables inside the system are correctly installed and retained by the cable retention bracket before installing the cooling fan cage assembly. Incorrectly installed cables may get damaged.
- Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
Steps
- Lower the cooling fan cage assembly into the system and slide to the back until seated firmly.
- Connect the fan cage assembly power cable to the HPM.

Next steps
- If removed, install the cooling fans.
- Install the air shroud.
- Install the bus bar power cables.
- Install the HPM sled cover.
- Install the HPM sled.
- Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system.
