Removing the cooling fan cage assembly

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
  3. Remove the HPM sled.
  4. Remove the HPM sled cover.
  5. Remove the air shroud.
  6. Remove the bus bar power cables.
  7. If required, remove the cooling fans to reduce the weight of the cooling fan cage.

Steps

  1. Slide the fan cage assembly to the front and lift the cooling fan cage assembly from the system.
  2. Disconnect the fan cage assembly power cable from the HPM.
