Removing the E3 module

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
  3. Remove the HPM sled.
  4. Remove the storage module sled cover.
  5. Slide out the storage module sled.
    NOTE:Observe and disconnect the drive backplane cables from the connector on the backplanes.

Steps

  1. Using a Philips 2 screw driver, loosen the two captive screws on the E3 module.
  2. Pull the E3 module out of the storage module sled.
