Installing the OCP expansion card riser

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
CAUTION: Do not install GPUs, network cards, or other PCIe devices on your system that are not validated and tested by Dell. Damage caused by unauthorized and invalidated hardware installation will null and void the system warranty.

Steps

  1. Align the stand off and the guide clip with the features on the chassis and lower the riser into the sled.
  2. Press firmly on the connector and tighten the two captive screws (6.0 +/- 0.2 in-lbf) on the riser.
  3. Insert the two screws on the left side and tighten (4.0 +/- 0.5 in-lbf) them to secure the riser.
