Installing the power distribution board (PDB)

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
  3. Remove the dual M.2 riser.
  4. Remove the air shroud.
  5. Remove the top and bottom cooling fans.

Steps

  1. Insert the PDB through the chassis bracket at an angle.
  2. Align the connectors on the PDB with the slots on the HPM and the guide with the guide pin.
  3. Lower it into the sled , press down firmly on the blue touch points to engage the connectors.
  4. Tighten the captive screw (6.0 +/- 0.2 in-lbf) to secure the PDB.
