Installing the QSFP module

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
  3. Remove the expansion card risers.

Steps

  1. Insert the QSFP module on tot the HPM
    NOTE:Do not cover the screw hole on the HPM and ensure the QSFP module bracket is outside the front chassis wall. .
  2. Insert and thighten the screw (6.0 +/- 0.2 in-lbf) to secure the QSFP module.
  3. Connect the cables tot he HPM connectors.
