Removing a cooling fan module

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.

Steps

  1. Disconnect the fan cable from the PDB.
  2. Loosen and remove the two screws securing the fan module and slide it out.

    NOTE:The XR8720t has two sets of fan modules, and the removal steps remain the same.
