Removing the Camera

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery

    2. optical-disk drive

    3. access panel

    4. hard drive

    5. memory module

    6. keyboard

    7. base cover

    8. system board

    9. display assembly

  3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Remove the tape that secures the camera cable [1].
    2. Disconnect the camera cable from the camera [2].
    3. Remove the camera from the display assembly [3].
