Procedure

  1. Close the display, and turn the computer over.
  2. Turn the system badge over and remove the two screws (M2x8.5) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest assembly.
  3. Remove the 10 screws (M2x3 T5) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest assembly.

  4. Using a plastic scribe, gently pry the base cover off the palm-rest assembly.
