Removing chassis frame

Steps

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. WLAN card
    4. WWAN card (optional)
    5. hard drive assembly(optional)
    6. SSD card
  3. To release the chassis frame:
    1. Release the WLAN and WWAN cables from the routing channels [1].
    2. Lift the latch and disconnect the keyboard cable from the connector [2].
      NOTE There may be more than one cable to disconnect based on the keyboard type.

  4. To remove the chassis frame:
    1. Remove the M2*2, M2*3, and M2*5 screws that secure the chassis frame to the computer [1].
    2. Lift the chassis frame away from the computer [2].
