Removing smart card reader board

Steps

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. WLAN card
    4. WWAN card (optional)
    5. hard drive assembly(optional)
    6. SSD card
    7. chassis frame
  3. To remove the smart card reader board:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the smart card reader board to the palmrest [1].
    2. Slide and remove the smart card reader from the slot [2].
