Removing the 3-cell battery cable
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.

Steps
- Peel the tape that secures the battery cable to the 3-cell battery.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
- Remove the battery cable from the routing guides on the 3-cell battery.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the 3-cell battery.
- Lift the battery cable off the 3-cell battery.
