Removing the 3-cell battery
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.

Steps
- Peel the tape that secures the battery cable to the 3-cell battery.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
- Remove the three screws (M2x3) that secure the battery to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Lift the battery off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
