Removing the processor

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the cover.
  3. Open the psu hinge.
  4. Remove the heat sink assembly.

Steps

  1. Gently press the CPU lever and release it from the latch mechanism.
  2. Open the lever clockwise to lift the processor shield.
  3. Carefully lift the processor out of the slot on the system board.
