Removing the system board
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the cover.
- Open the psu hinge.
- Remove the memory module.
- Remove the graphics card.
- Remove the solid state drive.
- Remove the WLAN module and SMA antenna.
- Remove the heat sink assembly.
- Remove the Voltage regulator heat sink.
- Remove the processor.

Steps
- Disconnect and remove the following cables from the system board:
- System fan cable
- Intrusion cable
- I/O panel cable
- CPU power cable
- System board power connector cable
- SD card cable
- Type-C cable
- I/O USB cable
- Primary hard drive SATA cable
- ODD SATA cable
- Speaker cable
- I/O audio cable
- Remove the eight screws (#6-32) that secure the system board to the chassis.
- Slide the system board out of the chassis.
