Removing the top fan
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the cover.
- Open the psu hinge.

The following images indicate the location of the top fan and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Disconnect the fan cable from the system board:
- Remove the single screw (#6-32) that secure the fan bracket to the chassis.
- Slide and remove the fan along with the bracket from the chassis.
- Pry and separate the fan from the fan bracket.
