Removing the voltage regulator heat sink

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the cover.
  3. Open the psu hinge.
  4. Remove the graphics card.
  5. Remove the solid state drive.
  6. Remove the heat sink assembly.

Steps

  1. Loosen the captive screws that secure the VR heatsink to the system board.
  2. Lift the VR heatsink from the system board.
