Removing the base cover
Prerequisites

Steps
- Remove the five screws (M2x4) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Loosen the two captive screws (M2x8.8) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Pry open the base cover starting from the recess at the hinge area and work your way around and follow the "guidance line" indicated in the image to remove the base cover.
- Lift the base cover off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
