Removing the memory modules - discrete

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the base cover.
  3. Disconnect the battery (3-cell or 4-cell).

Steps

  1. Lift the mylar covering the memory module.
  2. Using your finger tips gently pry the retention clips away from the memory module until the memory module pops up.
  3. Slide and remove the memory module off the memory module slot on the system board.
