Installing the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) board

Prerequisites

CAUTION:The information in this section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.

About this task

The following image(s) indicate the location of the TPM board and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.

Installing the TPM board

Steps

  1. Align the screw holes on the TPM board with the screw holes on the system board.
  2. Align the ports on the TPM board with the slots on the system board.
  3. Place the TPM board on the system board.
  4. Replace the two screws (M2x3) that secure the TPM board to the system board.
