NOTE:The display assembly is a Hinge-Up
Design (HUD) assembly and cannot be further disassembled. If any components in the
display assembly are malfunctioning and must be replaced, replace the entire display
assembly.

The following images indicate the location of the display assembly and provide a

Steps
Open the display assembly to a 90-degree angle.
Remove the two screws (M1.4x1.3) that secure the display-cable bracket to the
base cover.
Remove the display-cable bracket from the base cover.
Disconnect the two display-cable connectors from the system board. If required,
use a scribe to pry the connectors from the system board.
Holding the display assembly in position with one hand, remove the six screws
(M2.5x5) that secure the left and right hinges of the display assembly to the
base cover.
Tilting the display forward slightly, gently lift the display assembly off the
base cover.
CAUTION:Check that the display-cable
connectors are completely disconnected from the system board before
proceeding to lift the display assembly clear of the system board.
After performing all the above steps, you are left with the display assembly.
