Removing the right I/O daughterboard
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the Palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Remove the Right USB-C module.

The following image indicates the location of the right I/O daughterboard and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
NOTE:The left and right I/O
daughterboards can be removed and replaced independently, and are not required to be
removed or replaced as a pair.

Steps
- Remove the screw (M1.6x3.4) that secures the right PCBeam cable to the right I/O daughterboard.
- Angle the right PCBeam cable away then pry off the right PCBeam interposer
board from the right I/O daughterboard, storing it carefully for reuse.CAUTION:Handle the PCBeam interposer with care by the edges. Avoid touching the pins on the connectors.
- Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the right I/O daughterboard to the base cover.
- Hold the right I/O daughterboard by the short edges, and lift it off the base cover with care.
