Removing the battery cable

Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in
Before working inside your computer. NOTE:Ensure that your computer is in Service Mode. For more information, see step 7 in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the battery.

Steps
- Slide down the clamp that secures the battery cable to the battery.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the battery.
- Remove the battery cable from the routing guides.
- Lift the battery cable off the battery.
