Removing the battery

Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the battery and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Peel the tape that secures the battery cable to the system board.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the connector (BATT) on the system board.
- Remove the four screws (M2x3) that secure the battery to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Lift the battery off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
