Installing the heat sink
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the heat sink and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Align the screw holes on the heat sink with the screw holes on the system board.
- Tighten the three captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system board.
- Adhere the heat absorber for the DDR5 onboard memory on the heat-sink.
- Replace the heat shield cover.
