Installing the solid-state drive
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the solid-state drive and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Align the notch on the solid-state drive with the tab on the M.2 card connector.
- Slide the solid-state drive into the M.2 card connector on the system board.
- Replace the single (M1.6x2.5) screw that secures the solid-state drive to the system board.
- Place the thermal pad and adhere it on the solid-state drive card.
- Align and place the solid-state drive shielding cover, press to fit it firmly to cover the solid-state drive.
