Procedure

  1. Open the latch and disconnect the touchpad cable from the system board.
  2. Peel off the touchpad cable from the keyboard and palm-rest assembly.

  3. Remove the four screws (M2x2) that secure the touchpad to the palm-rest assembly. If applicable, peel off any foam adhering the touchpad to the palm-rest assembly.
  4. Lift the touchpad from the inner edge and remove it from the palm-rest assembly.
