Removing the I/O Panel

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. cover
    2. optical drive
    3. drive cage
    4. front bezel
  3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Disconnect the I/O cable the computer [1].
    2. Disconnect the audio cable the computer [2].
    3. Disconnect the HDD LED cable the computer [3].

  4. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Remove the screw that secures the I/O panel to the chassis. [1].
    2. Slide the I/O panel to release and remove it from the computer [2].
