Removing the Solid State Drive (SSD)

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
  3. Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board [1].

  4. To remove the SSD:
    1. Peel the aluminum foil until the folding line.
    2. Remove the screw that secures the SSD to the computer [1].
    3. Remove the SSD bracket [2].
    4. Remove the copper thermal plate.
    5. Remove the SSD from the computer [3].
