Procedure

  1. Open the latch and disconnect the touchpad cable from the system board.
  2. Peel off the touchpad cable from the touchpad bracket.
  3. Open the latch and disconnect the touchpad-button cable from the touchpad.
  4. Remove the five screws (M2x2.5) that secure the touchpad bracket to the palm-rest assembly.
  5. Slide the touchpad bracket at an angle and lift it off the palm-rest assembly.
