Steps
Remove the WWAN-antenna cables from the routing guides on the I/O board.
Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the fingerprint-reader bracket to the I/O
board.
Lift the fingerprint-reader bracket off the I/O board.
Disconnect the Darwin cable from the connector on the I/O board.
Disconnect the fingerprint-reader cable from the connector on the I/O
board.
NOTE:This step applies only to computers shipped with
fingerprint reader installed.
Remove the two screws (M2x3) that secure the display-cable bracket to the
system board.
Disconnect the camera cable, if available, and display cable from the connector
on the system board.
Open the display assembly to an angle of 90 degrees and flip the computer.
Place the computer on the edge of a clean and flat surface so the display
assembly extends below the edge of the surface.
Remove the four screws (M2.5x4) that secure the display assembly to the
palm-rest assembly.
Carefully remove the display assembly from the palm-rest assembly.
NOTE:For Dell Pro 14 Plus 2-in-1, the display assembly is a Hinge-Up
Design (HUD) and cannot be further disassembled once it has been removed
from the computer. If any component within the display assembly is faulty,
replace the entire display assembly.
