Removing the MIPI camera
CAUTION:The information in this removal section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
NOTE:This procedure applies only to Dell Pro 14 Plus laptops.
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the SIM-card tray, if applicable.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the WWAN card, if applicable.
- Remove the display assembly.
- Remove the display bezel.
- Remove the display panel.
- Remove the display hinge caps.
About this task
NOTE: This procedure applies only to models
shipped with MIPI camera.
The following images indicate the location of the MIPI camera and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.

Steps
- Remove the clip that secures the MIPI camera and the camera cable to the connector on the display back cover.
- Using a plastic scribe, pry the camera module off the display back cover.
- Carefully lift the MIPI camera module, along with the middle-board cable, middle board and display cable, off the display back cover.
