Converting evaluation OS version to retail OS version
Issue
Customer is attempting to install Windows using the license key that is provided by Dell however do not have the media at hand. The customer then proceed to use the evaluation version to upgrade, but the version did not match. Errors occurred when inserting the license key.
Corrective actions
To fix the issue:
- For 2016, see Upgrade and conversation options for Windows Server.
- For 2019, see Install, upgrade, or migrate to Windows Server.
