Removing the Intrusion switch

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. side cover
    2. front bezel
    3. 5.25 inch ODD bracket
  3. To remove the intrusion switch:
    1. Disconnect the intrusion cable [1] from the I/O module.
    2. Remove the screw [2] that secures the intrusion switch to the chassis.
    3. Lift the intrusion switch and remove it from the chassis.
      NOTE:The system will not power on without the intrusion switch installed.
