Installing the power button

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

Steps

  1. Slide the power-button module into the chassis until it snaps into place.
  2. Connect the power-button cable to the system board.
    NOTE: The above image is provided for illustrative purposes only. You do not need to remove the front I/O cover to access the power-button cable.

Next steps

  1. Install the front cover.
  2. Install the left-side cover.
  3. Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.
