Procedure
CAUTION: Ensure that no cables are under the system board.
- Replace the heat-sink assembly.
- Align the screw holes on the system board with the screw holes on the palm-rest assembly.
- Replace the seven screws (M2.5x5) that secure the system-board assembly to the palm-rest assembly.
- Align the screw hole on the USB Type-C port bracket with the screw hole on the system board.
- Replace the screw (M2.5x5) that secures the USB Type-C port bracket to the system board.
- Slide the I/O-board cable into the connector on the I/O-board and close the latch to secure the cable.
- Adhere the tape that secures the I/O-board cable to the I/O board.
- Slide the touch-pad cable into the connector on the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.
- Insert the keyboard cable, macro-keys backlight cable, and keyboard-backlight cable into their connectors and press down the latches to secure the cables.
- Connect the macro-keys cable, speaker cable, power-adapter port cable, and coin-cell battery cable to the system board.
- Route the coin-cell battery through the routing channel and adhere the tape to secure the cable.
- Turn the computer over.
- Connect the logo-board cable, power-button board cable, and tobii eye-tracker board cable to the system board.
- Slide the display cable into the connector on the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.
- Adhere the tape that secures the display cable to the system board.
