AM indicators and ports

The following figure shows a typical AM that is used in the MD2460 enclosures:

  1. AM ID
  2. AM status
  3. Mini-SAS HD status
  4. 7-segment LED

There are five bicolor LEDs, one blue LED, and four 7-segment LEDs on the AM face.

  • Off: Normal operation

  • On solid green: Normal operation
Amber
  • Blinking (on for two seconds and off for one second): AM failure

Mini-SAS HD status icon

Mini-SAS HD status Green
  • On solid - port link is up.
  • Blinking (on for one second and off for one second): Identifying
Amber
  • On solid - port link is up, but with degraded speed. For example, when you are connected to a SAS3 endpoint.
  • Blinking (on for two seconds and off for one second): Fault on the port.
4 7-segment LED 7-segment LED N/A Not used

An AM has four Mini-SAS HD ports and one USB type-C port.
