PDF

director run

Runs an application from flash with the given parameters.

Contexts

All contexts.

Syntax

[-h |--help]

[--verbose]

[-p |--no-progress]

[--no-default-args]

[-t | --targets]

[--timeout]

[--show-plan-only]

Arguments

Required arguments

[-h |--help]

Displays the usage for this command.

[--verbose]

Provides more output during command execution. This may not have any effect for some commands.

[-p |--no-progress]

Turns off file transfer progress reporting.

[--no-default-args]

Turns off the default application arguments.

[-t | --targets]

Operates on the given targets. The glob may be a full path glob, or just a name pattern. If you supply only a name pattern, the command should find allowed targets whose names match. If you are already at or below the intended target context, you can leave this option off.

[--timeout]

The command times out after the given number of seconds multiplied by the number of targets found. The default is 180 seconds per target. Zero specifies no timeout.

[--show-plan-only]

Shows the targets that will be affected, but the actual operation is not performed. This is useful when globs are used in the [-t | --targets] option.

Description

By default, the given parameters are added to any default parameters that are currently configured on the director, and any default parameters that are configured in the platform image installed in the director's current flash bank. Use the --no-default-args option to exclude the defaults and use only the given parameters.

To run the application with no parameters at all, give no explicit parameters and use the --no-default-args option.
