Prerequisites

Ensure that an Microsoft Exchange Server environment meets the following prerequisites before you install the Microsoft application agent:

  • Install the following applications on the Windows host:
    • Microsoft Exchange Server

    • .NET Framework 4.0 or later

      If you are installing ItemPoint for granular-level recovery, install .NET Framework 4.5.

  • In the PowerProtect Data Manager UI, select Agent Downloads from the System Settings menu, select the Microsoft application agent download package, msappagent1911_win_x64.zip, and then download the package to the Windows Microsoft Exchange Server host.
  • Log in to the Microsoft Exchange Server host as an Administrator to install the Microsoft application agent.
